Ministry: Russia’s agricultural exports rise 26.4% in Jan–April
MOSCOW, Jul 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s exports of agricultural products increased 26.4% on the year to U.S. $7.4 billion in January–April, including trade with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
Wheat exports amounted to 13 million tonnes worth $2.3 billion in the period, with Egypt being the major importer of Russian wheat.
Exports of soybean oil increased by 7.8% to 183,000 tonnes and of soybeans by more than twice to 446,000 tonnes. Exports of confectionery goods went up 27.5% to 61,000 tonnes.
